Review|| Shawill 12 Color Cream Eyeshadow

My 2nd makeup review! Yaaay :D

I never had an eyeshadow palette, as I thought I would never use it. But then, my sister needed to be in a goddess costume for an activity in school, so we need matching face-do as well!

My sister and I went to Watsons to find affordable drugstore makeup. I checked the Nichido counter and found a palette with blush and eyeshadows. I also picked a white eyeliner. But when I was about to pay for the items, the Shawill line caught my eye.

They had about 4-6 eyeshadow palettes both matte and shimmer shadows. I swatched their eyeshadows, and wow! I knew I had to buy that eyeshadow palette. :) And it is very affordable at 148Php! I picked palette 01, the one with strong green and yellow + earth colors, as those were what I would be needing for my sister's look.  (I returned the Nichido items :<)

REVIEW

Packaging:

Shawill
12 color cream eyeshadow
 Gives you a charming look

Elegant soft pearly luster, soft and textured look that can be intensified with layering.
Fashionable tint with glitters that creates a gradient effect.
Exp date: 2018.01.04

Comments:

  • I like the sleek black case with minimal prints. It does not look cheap nor childish.
  • I am not sure what they meant with cream eyeshadow, because the colors are definitely powder. :))
  • I dont know if I will believe the expiration date :))
  • Glossy plastic makes the palette easier to clean, but is prone to scratches.
  • Durable packaging; I dropped it 2-3times and everything is still intact. :)
  • The mirror included is a bit small.
  • I wish they included the ingredients. :(
Applicator:

Comments:
  • Length of the applicator makes it easier to use.
  • Sponge is easier to clean; also picks up product effectively. :)
Swatches:
1 layer
2 layers

Rubbed with fingers (x3) + Water test (~1min)
Rubbed again with cloth (x3)
Comments:
  • Playful colors :)
  • Textures of most of the eyeshadows are buttery, and glides smoothly on the skin. :) My favorites colors are: deep sky blue, violet, green, black and copper.
  • Other colors tend to be clumpy, and sometimes, chalky. I was mostly disappointed with the white eyeshadow since it is chalky, and does not transfer color much on the waterline. :( I use the light brown on my waterline instead.
  • Colors are pigmented and buildable. :)
  • I was amazed at how the shadows had good staying power, even after the rub and water test. :D It is really worth more than its price. :)
Will I recommend it? Yes! Especially to beginners in using makeup like me. :)
Will I repurchase it? I would like to try the matte palettes. I hope it is as good as this. :3

UPDATE:

I forgot to include my sister's complete look! Anyway, here it is:
Dress and cape were hand-sewn and made from scratch :)
Bow and arrow were also hand-crafted from scrap materials :D

End of review.
Thanks for reading! :) Feel free to comment :)
